French Breakfast

This week in year 5 we have been looking at a french breakfast. It was called 'Une tartine et chocolat chaud'.
The ingredients involved were bread, butter, jam and hot chocolate. It may sound very horrible but it actually taste's really delicious.

There were four steps you needed to follow to make it perfect. The first step was to cut the bread. The second step was to spread the butter on the bread. The third step was to spread the jam on the bread and finally dip it all into the hot chocolate! Bon Appetit!

This is how it is in french.
Cette semaine dans l'année 5, nous avons été en regardant un petit-déjeuner français. Elle s'appelait «Une tartine et chocolat chaud».

Les ingrédients en cause étaient le pain, beurre, confiture et chocolat chaud. Elle mai son très horrible, mais elle a effectivement le goût est vraiment délicieux.

Il y avait quatre étapes nécessaires à suivre pour le rendre parfait. La première étape a été de couper le pain. La deuxième étape consistait à étaler le beurre sur le pain. La troisième étape a été de diffuser la confiture sur le pain et, enfin, la tremper dans le chocolat tout chaud. Bon Appétit!
At school it has been a scientific week for year 5. We did a phenomenal experiment about antacid tablets and how they dissolve in different liquids. The liquids we used were water, lemonade, oil, and vinegar. Instead of antacid tablets we used Steradent tablets. We didn't dare put it by our mouth! We dropped the tablets at the same time into the different liquids. Then we started to time it. The super speedy one was vinegar then it was the water next it was the lemonade and oil is still going on now.

In 5H we have been doing . . . .



This week in year been doing lots of things.





In literacy we have been doing . . . .


A new Harry Potter Professor. A new professor has just joined Hogwarts and we are going to design the professor.We have been thinking about is it mean or nice and new exciting features for the professor. We done a mind map to show what our professor's personality and in the appearance. We had to use interesting words to describe our professor.




In ICT we have been doing . . . .


Graphic modeling with shapes. We carried on with our classroom design on designer. Then we typed a letter that we are going to send it to Dubai. It was basically about us, our school, our life,


what we likes and dislikes and more.




In history we have been doing . . . .


About Greeks vases and we designed our own vases into our sketch books. We done patterns and a picture in middle like a Greek god or something to do with Greek. Then soon we will make our own vases.




In Geography we have been doing . . . . .


We looked at a tube sation map and then we looked at our nearest tube station, then we looked at diffrent places and we had to find the quickest way to go to that place.

New Professers

In year 5 we have started to design our own professor for Harry potter. We looked at the different professors, then we started to make a mind map for our professor. After that we started to describe our character the best description was Uzzaam's description, the star writers were Uzzaam, Zaynah, Whitney, and Juan. The star writers had to write their description in best form.

Greek vases!!!!!




This week in year five we were looking at Greek vases and we were designing a rough in our sketch books. We put things like a cyclops, minotaur, Greek soldier, athletes, goddesses and gods. The colours we used were red, orange, black, white, gold, silver, yellow and brown, most shapes were curved. They had very detailed patterns like spirals.

Dramatic Drama

In year 5 we had a special guest come in, his name is Terry and he was from the drama center. First we played Greeks,myths, stories, and legends it was like north, south, west and east. And when he said freeze we had to stop and when he said unfreeze we could move,if we moved and he hadn't said unfreeze we were out.
After that we were looking at a story called Homer's Odysseus. We were in groups of 6& 7. We made a boat, Scylla(a six-headed monster), and Charybdis. Then we acted it out with a paper. We really enjoyed it.

Drama Center!!!

This week in year 5 a man called Terry came in to teach us some drama. We started off with Greek, myths, legends and stories. It was like north, south, east, west but with different names. Then we were looking at a story called Homor's Odysseus. Then we got in groups of seven and were making things off the the script. But we had to make all connected, the shapes we made were a boat, scylla (six headed monster) and charybdois (whirlpool).
Once we knew what we had to act out we did. In our groups we read the script and and decided what we wanted to be. Then once we were ready we showed it to the other groups. Most groups had three people being the monsters and the other four acted the main story. It turned out really great!!!
