Invaders Day

For Invaders day, we spent the day designing and building longships, sheild and weapons for invading and raiding. After all the hard work, we settled down for some simple Viking lunch of berries and bread. Later on, we set off for our raid, battling with anyone in our way. What great fun!

Good Vibrations!

In Science this week, the lesson was all about sound. We took different instruments and played them to find the science behind them, the science was all about vibrations. We learnt that sound comes from a source which creates the vibrations, then the vibrations travels through the air and comes to our ear, then our ear processes it.

Week 3

On Wednesday Year five went to the Redbridge museum to have our history lesson about how other countries helped Britain in world war two. In this photo we were doing an activity. We had to read slips about photos from the world war then match them up with their correct photo.

On Thursday, we had an art lesson about patterns from around the world.S ome children brought in pattens from their culture so we could copy them.

In Literacy, we are studying stories from around the world. The story that we have been looking at this week is from Africa. It is called Kirikou and the Soceress. We had to describe Kirikou's character. Many of the class said Kirikou may be tiny but he is quite mighty. We enjoyed the story very much.
