2nd Week in 5H

































Our 2nd week in Miss Hartwell's class we have been doing . . . . .

In history we have been doing more about Ancient Greeks. We learned about Sparta and Athens. We know a lot of facts about Sparta and Athens. There is a huge diffrence between those two countries. Sparta and Athens fight. Athens is fair but Sparta cheats, lies to live. We have also been Primary and Secondry. Primary is that something that happned that time. Secondry means
the same but happend in this time.

In numeracy we have been doing multipication, decimal points and mental maths. In decimal points we done moving decimal points along.



In literacy we have been reading the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and we have been doing work on that. We done comprehension of the story Harry Potter and the
Chamber of Secrets. Then we wrote a descripition about Dumledore in Harry Potter. We wrote about his peronality and his look alike. We had to used interesting words.


In R.E we learned about Islam and Eid. We also learned that Islam fast for 30 days and to break the fast they have water or milk and dates. For Eid they were new clothes. Girls wear Shalwar and Kameez. Boys wear Kurta and Pyjam. Zaket means giving money or gifts. Fasting is only for OVER 12. You are not alound to eat or drink from sunrise to sunset.
In ICT we have been doing shapes. We used two programms called paing and designer. We compared both of those programms together to see what one is better. We made out intials with shapes. Then we made a picture with shapes.
In French we have been learning the numbers 1 to 30. Also we have been doing greeting and a little bit of conversion in french.
In Art we have been doing Islamic patterns this week. Then we made a poster in pairs about Eid and Islam. We wrote a bit about them then we drew pictures. We done borders to it and more.
We are still reading Percy Jackson and the lighting Theif and its getting more interesting.
