Greek sandals!

Today in year 5, it has been Ancient Greek Day. We have finally made our Greek sandals! We added some sequinces, dazzledots, pom poms, ribbons, shiny paper and card. This is a short video of some of our sandals.

Ancient Greek Day.

In year 5, we have been dressing up as Ancient Greeks. We had lots of fun, we done lots of exciting activities.
We have done ancient greek posters, we made greek shoes for the gods and goddesses.
We found out that, the shoe was made out of animal skin. It was soaked in water, and other liquids...The clothes were normaly white, brown, and bage. Mens clothes were called a Chiton, and ladys clothes were called a Paplos. And the rich people wore colourful clothes with diomonds
and patterns on their clothes...They made the colours by herbs, abd plants.

Zeus Statue!!

This week in year five we learnt about one of the ancient wonders of the world, the temple of Zeus. We looked at a video about the temple and we wrote bullet point facts up into our morning books. Then we wrote it up into our foundation book in paragraphs and this is what we wrote.

In Ancient Greece everyone would take pride in the Olympics in the stadium. They built it for the Olympics and the statue of Zeus. A stone would be held every year, and on the statue he is holding a septa. There is a man called Phidius and he is the person that built the statue. Inside it was made of wood and on the outside it was made of gold, lots of jewels, ivory which was made of elephants trunks. I found this very cruel.

Ancient Greek Sandals for a Greek god

In year 5,we have been making Greek sandals for Greek gods in art.We first drew two designs in our art books of our chosen Greek god. Secondly we wrote a description of what god it is,why we chose it,what designs we put on it and what colours it will be. After we finished all of that and coloured it,we chose our best Greek sandal and did an proto type on it,using scrap paper,scissors and glue.We done all sorts of designs that was suitable for the god we chose. Year 5 are now waiting to do our actual sandals on the 4th December on Ancient Greek day!

Rememberance day!

This week in year 5, we have been learning why we wear poppies in November.We didn't realise that there was such a big, important story behind the poppies.We had a lesson with Mrs.Ward, about it.
We were taught about the trenches, the bombs, the Flanders field poem, and the soldiers that died.
Trenches are like a tunnel going downwards. People lived in trenches so that they couldn't get shot or bombed! These trenches were 7 feet deep, and 3 feet wide. Dirty, muddy water came knee-high. Men had to shave in the trenches! Imagine that! Shrapnel's (sharp metal pieces) were more likely to hit the people in the trenches than bombs.

World War I was meant to be the war to end all wars, but sadly it wasn't. During WWI, Belgium was the most bombed. The Flanders fields was in Belgium. In Flanders fields where everything was destroyed, people were lying dead on the roads, but then these red poppies started to grow! It was truly AMAZING! Poppies are a sign of hope. Ever since then, every year, on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month,we have 2 minutes silence to remember those who died in the wars, and those who are still fighting today.

In year 5 we have been learning about papermache and we have been doing it with Mrs.Hartwell.So we got some balloon's and blowed them up and then we papermache it so

we can make our GREEK vases.

How to make papermache.

First we get Newspapers and rip it up into little peaces, and once you've done that you get plane paper, then get any other papers. To make it stick you get glue and water and mix it together in a big bowl.And get our ripped newspaper. and then put it into the mixture of the water and glue.

take it out and stick it on your balloon. And then keep on doing that until you cant see

anymore of your colour balloon.and when it's dry and hard you can pop the little

peace that is sticking out and then take the balloon out of the papermache.

3D Shapes

This week we have been making 3D shapes.

First we made a cube and than we wrote the instructions to it in our literacy book for Miss Hartwell and Mr Miller can make a cube. We also drew little diagrams to make it easier in our instructions. Then we made other 3D shapes and they are called pyramids, dodecahedron, octahedron and pentagonal pyramid. We also wrote on each side how many edges, corners there were. For an example if i was doing a pentagonal pyramid it has six edges, six corners and six faces. We wrote all that information onto a pentagonal pyramid or whatever shape we are doing. For the cube we just done folding, for the other 3D shapes we used glue and a lot of folding. On each side of our cubes there were two different colours.

In 5M we have been doing a an experiment about how the different liquids affect the evaporation rate. Our question was how does the type of liquid affect the time it takes to evaporate.

EQUIPMENT

METHOD

1. First, you get four different type of liquid. Lemonade, water, gel, and milk.
2. Then, you get 4 candles and 4 candle holders, and 1 heatproof mat, 4 measuring jugs.
3. After, you get a lighter or matches, you pour the liquids inside the measuring jugs. And get foil trays, you pour the liquids inside the foil trays and place on the candle holder.
4. Afterwards put the candle under the candle holders.
5. Start the stop watch as soon as you place the candle under.
6. Finally observe in case of one of them evaporate.

RESULTS

We found out, that the type of liquid does affect the evaporation rate.

' The Selfish Giant '

This week in year 5 we have done a lot of things, as it was the first week back from half-term. But one thing we enjoyed as a school was the puppet show on Wednesday. It was called the ' The Selfish Giant '. The puppeteer called Rob and the author was called Oscar Wild.

One day three children called Rosy, Daisy and Billy played in a park that was owned by the giant. They were playing really happily and then got tired so they fell asleep. Next, the giant came from a very long time of sleeping to his garden. As soon as the giant came, Daisy woke up. Then she woke up Billy and tried to wake up Rosy but she couldn't. She only woke up when the giant spoke to her. Then he said to her " You are not aloud to play in my garden anymore!" Afterwards she went away, the giant built a fence and held a sign saying " Trespassers will be prosecuted!" The giant fell a sleep and because he was being so selfish the season changed to spring to winter. There were also four more characters called Lady Snow, Jack Frost, Northail, Northwind. Because it turned spring again they decided to go. The giant let any person to play in his garden. There was a little boy was crying because he couldn't climb a tree like the other children. Then the giant put the little boy on the tree and then he kissed his nose. Then the other children came and they played in the giant garden every day. But the giant never saw the little boy again. He turned very old and finally he saw the little boy again. He was so happy and then the little boy and him were very close.

French Breakfast

This week in year 5 we have been looking at a french breakfast. It was called 'Une tartine et chocolat chaud'.

The ingredients involved were bread, butter, jam and hot chocolate. It may sound very horrible but it actually taste's really delicious.

There were four steps you needed to follow to make it perfect. The first step was to cut the bread. The second step was to spread the butter on the bread. The third step was to spread the jam on the bread and finally dip it all into the hot chocolate! Bon Appetit!

Cette semaine dans l'année 5, nous avons été en regardant un petit-déjeuner français. Elle s'appelait «Une tartine et chocolat chaud».

Les ingrédients en cause étaient le pain, beurre, confiture et chocolat chaud. Elle mai son très horrible, mais elle a effectivement le goût est vraiment délicieux.

Il y avait quatre étapes nécessaires à suivre pour le rendre parfait. La première étape a été de couper le pain. La deuxième étape consistait à étaler le beurre sur le pain. La troisième étape a été de diffuser la confiture sur le pain et, enfin, la tremper dans le chocolat tout chaud. Bon Appétit!

At school it has been a scientific week for year 5. We did a phenomenal experiment about antacid tablets and how they dissolve in different liquids. The liquids we used were water, lemonade, oil, and vinegar. Instead of antacid tablets we used Steradent tablets. We didn't dare put it by our mouth! We dropped the tablets at the same time into the different liquids. Then we started to time it. The super speedy one was vinegar then it was the water next it was the lemonade and oil is still going on now.

A new Harry Potter Professor. A new professor has just joined Hogwarts and we are going to design the professor.We have been thinking about is it mean or nice and new exciting features for the professor. We done a mind map to show what our professor's personality and in the appearance. We had to use interesting words to describe our professor.

In ICT we have been doing . . . .

Graphic modeling with shapes. We carried on with our classroom design on designer. Then we typed a letter that we are going to send it to Dubai. It was basically about us, our school, our life,

what we likes and dislikes and more.

In history we have been doing . . . .

About Greeks vases and we designed our own vases into our sketch books. We done patterns and a picture in middle like a Greek god or something to do with Greek. Then soon we will make our own vases.

In Geography we have been doing . . . . .

We looked at a tube sation map and then we looked at our nearest tube station, then we looked at diffrent places and we had to find the quickest way to go to that place.

Greek vases!!!!!

This week in year five we were looking at Greek vases and we were designing a rough in our sketch books. We put things like a cyclops, minotaur, Greek soldier, athletes, goddesses and gods. The colours we used were red, orange, black, white, gold, silver, yellow and brown, most shapes were curved. They had very detailed patterns like spirals.

Dramatic Drama

In year 5 we had a special guest come in, his name is Terry and he was from the drama center. First we played Greeks,myths, stories, and legends it was like north, south, west and east. And when he said freeze we had to stop and when he said unfreeze we could move,if we moved and he hadn't said unfreeze we were out.
After that we were looking at a story called Homer's Odysseus. We were in groups of 6& 7. We made a boat, Scylla(a six-headed monster), and Charybdis. Then we acted it out with a paper. We really enjoyed it.

Drama Center!!!

This week in year 5 a man called Terry came in to teach us some drama. We started off with Greek, myths, legends and stories. It was like north, south, east, west but with different names. Then we were looking at a story called Homor's Odysseus. Then we got in groups of seven and were making things off the the script. But we had to make all connected, the shapes we made were a boat, scylla (six headed monster) and charybdois (whirlpool).
Once we knew what we had to act out we did. In our groups we read the script and and decided what we wanted to be. Then once we were ready we showed it to the other groups. Most groups had three people being the monsters and the other four acted the main story. It turned out really great!!!

Guitars!!!

This week we have been doing usual subjects like maths,English and History. But in English we have been doing letters to send them to Dubai and be pen pals with the a school in Dubai. First we wrote it in rough then we are goin go to edit them.
ICT
In ICT we have been doing shapes graphic and then we compared paint and designer to see which one is better.

But the most fun thing in year 5 had our first guitar lesson it was so much fun. We learned the main things about guitar like how to hold the guitar and the notes.

History
In history we have been learning about Ancient Greeks soldiers, then we drew a solider and labeled it.

Harvest
We also have been doing about Mid-autumn festival which is harvest festival in China. We got loads facts down like Chinese people eat moon cakes by celebrating the festival. We read the harvest story about Hoi Yi and Chang'e. Then we looked at pictures of moon cakes and there were loads of little detailed patterns on there. Then we designed our own patterns on a piece of paper they were a bit like snowflakes but they were good patterns for moon cakes.

My most favourite subjects were guitar and learning about harvest. I was really EXCITED before the guitar lesson and the harvest lesson.

Guitar Lessons

In year 5 this week we have been learning how to play the guitar. Our guitar teacher's name is Rico. First we clapped some rhythm back to Rico. Then we repeat some stuff with different expression. The funniest was when Rico repeated it crying.

Then we learned how to take the guitar out of the case then we learned the notes the notes were e,a,d,g,b,and e. He taught us a trick to remember the notes, it is elephants and donkeys grow big ears.
Then he taught us how to finger work.At the end he taught us how to put the guitar back.

This week in year 5 we have started our first week with guitars. Our guitar teachers are called Rico and Alex. They taught us a song and the notes which a had a song to it called elephants and donkeys grow big ears. The way we take the guitar out is by holding the guitar upside down then pull the case down.

In literacy we have been doing an informal letter and we were writing it to Dubai. We were doing this because in year four there was a boy called Aazin and he came from Dubai. Now hopefully they will write back. We're not actually writing to Aazin because were writing to someone in his class.

Eid

In year 5 we have been learning about Ramadan and the festival of Eid.The first Eid was celebrated in 624 CE by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with his friends and relatives after the victory of the battle of Jang-e-Badar.Muslims are not only celebrating the end of fasting, but thanking Allah for the help and strength that he gave them throughout the previous month to help them practice self-control. Ramadan is 29 or 30 days of fasting for Muslims. Muslims over 12 have to fast for 29 or 30 days. If you are frail,sick, and pregnant women they do not have to fast but they have to give money to charity.

When you are fasting you have to wake up at 4 a.m. You can only eat from 7.45 p.m to 5 a.m. If you are dying to eat something you try to forget about it and keep yourself busy. If you eat something you have to rinse your mouth and give money to charity. When you have finished you break it by eating a date.
Muslims in most countries rely on news of an official sighting, rather than looking at the sky themselves.There are special services out of doors and in Mosques, processions through the streets, and of course, a special celebratory meal - eaten during daytime, the first daytime meal Muslims will have had in a month.After Ramadan you look for a thin crescent moon. In Eid you have to wear new clothes. When Muslims see the crescent moon they say Eid Mubarak to family and friends and throw a party.Eid is also a time of forgiveness, and making amends.

2nd week in year 5

The second week back in year 5 we did many things like maths, history, ICT, P.E, R.E, french, literacy, stories and art. In maths we have been doing sqeuences and the rules were negative and positive. We also did place value with decimal numbers and were multiplying by ten.
In history we have been doing Ancient Greeks and were comparing the differences between Athens and Sparta. Then we were looking at Primary and Secondary sources.
In ICT we were doing graphics. We were using shapes and two websites called paint and designer.
P.E was very fun because we did playground games. The games were called devils den and blade.
In R.E it was really interesting because we were learning about Eid as it is coming very soon(Sunday or Monday). We learnt the clothes they wore, fasting and what thedid in the mosque we did learn many other things as well.
French was also very fun because we did a french greeting and we counted up to thirty. Then we played a french game of bingo.
In literacy we did a character description of Albus Dumbledore. We used very powerful words. Then we done a comprehension about Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets.
In stories we were reading a book called Percy Jackson And The Lightning Theif. We are just getting to the exciting bit.
Art was very colourful and interesting at the same time. What we did was a islamic pattern and that was connected to Eid.

2nd Week in 5H

Our 2nd week in Miss Hartwell's class we have been doing . . . . .

In history we have been doing more about Ancient Greeks. We learned about Sparta and Athens. We know a lot of facts about Sparta and Athens. There is a huge diffrence between those two countries. Sparta and Athens fight. Athens is fair but Sparta cheats, lies to live. We have also been Primary and Secondry. Primary is that something that happned that time. Secondry means
the same but happend in this time.

In numeracy we have been doing multipication, decimal points and mental maths. In decimal points we done moving decimal points along.

In literacy we have been reading the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and we have been doing work on that. We done comprehension of the story Harry Potter and the

Chamber of Secrets. Then we wrote a descripition about Dumledore in Harry Potter. We wrote about his peronality and his look alike. We had to used interesting words.

In R.E we learned about Islam and Eid. We also learned that Islam fast for 30 days and to break the fast they have water or milk and dates. For Eid they were new clothes. Girls wear Shalwar and Kameez. Boys wear Kurta and Pyjam. Zaket means giving money or gifts. Fasting is only for OVER 12. You are not alound to eat or drink from sunrise to sunset.

In ICT we have been doing shapes. We used two programms called paing and designer. We compared both of those programms together to see what one is better. We made out intials with shapes. Then we made a picture with shapes.

In French we have been learning the numbers 1 to 30. Also we have been doing greeting and a little bit of conversion in french.

In Art we have been doing Islamic patterns this week. Then we made a poster in pairs about Eid and Islam. We wrote a bit about them then we drew pictures. We done borders to it and more.

We are still reading Percy Jackson and the lighting Theif and its getting more interesting.

Greek Gods

This week we have been learning about the Greek gods some of the Greek gods are Zeus (supreme god), Hera (Zeus's wife), Hades and Poseidon (Zeus's brothers), Demeter(Zeus's sister). That was Zeus's family the other gods are Apollo(god of music), Ares (god of war). There are many more gods in Greek mythology.

Then we made cloak peg designs with a Greek gods body and our faces. Most of them were Poseidon's,Hera's and Ares. If you are wondering how we did it this is how:-first we drew the body and then we we stuck our photo on. Then finally we laminated it and stuck it on our cloak pegs. We are also reading a book called 'Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief'.

First week at Year 5

Our new teacher this year for 5H is Miss Hartwell. With Miss Hartwell we have been doing . . . .

This week in 5H with Miss Hartwell we have been doing art. We have been looking at french artists and there pictures. Then we had to choose our favourite one and we got a quarter of the picture then we stuck it down on a piece of paper. Then we had to draw the rest very lightly with the pencil. There were loads of pictures some were really bright and somewere dotted pictures.

Our next subject was Greek Gods. We learned about Greek gods then we wrote what we know about Ancient Greeks and what we want to know about Ancient Greeks. We mostly looked about Greek Gods. Then we watched Horrible History Groovy Greeks.Afterwards we done coat peg names we choose a god and we drew the god's body. Then we took photographs of our faces and then we cut it out and we stuck it on to the body.

We also have been reading a book called Percy Jackson and the Lighting Theif, so far its so fun.

This week in 5m we have been doing art. We could stick 1/4 of the picture in A4 paper and try and draw rest of the picture, we tried to copy exactly like the picture. We also imagined how the picture would look like when they were done. We had to colour the same design as the picture. We could use felt tips, pencils or paint. Most of ours looked good. Lewis Evans says "It's really hard"!

FUN AZTEC DAY

Hi guys,

On Friday 5th of June 2009 we had a fantastic AZTEC DAY! We did a variety of activities and we all enjoyed them. First of all we made aztec headdresses. Also we made clay model masks and snake mosaics. Although people say aztecs are boring to study, learning doing activities is much more fun.

my day in the snow

On Tuesday the 2nd I got out of bed expecting school, but my mum phoned the school and asked if it was open.As soon as I heared her reply I jumped into some warm clothes and ran out
side.When I made milions of foot steps I decided to call a friend to come round my house.

After my mum phoned her I asked her what the resolts were her reply was no so I was realy board,I didn't know what to do so I went back inside and that was 1 of my days.

When school closed on Monday, I woke up and it had started to snow. So then I put on my clothes and my scarf and my gloves and I went outside and made some snow angels. I made a snow man then my mum called me in for some breakfast.

So then my friend came to my house then we have some snowball fights and then my another friend came to my house.

On Monday the 2nd the school was closed and we had a trip to Sutton Hoo but unfortunately it was SNOWING!!!!!!!!So the trip was canceled.Instead we went out side to play BREAK THE SNOW MOUNTAIN!!!!!!
So I said,"Mum were going to play a sensible games" but me and my brother played SNOW FIGHT!!!!!!We lied to our mum.

On tuesday the 3rd, we went round our friends house and we played wrestling in the SNOW!!!!!!!And I got hurt.

What I dId while school was closed

On Monday at 8 o 'clock Elis and my brothers friend asked me and my brother to come and have a snow ball fight and go to Pancake hill.

When we got at Elis's house we got our scarfs hats and coats and wrapped up warm so we went outside and Elis and Christopher my brother got a big ball of snow and chucked it right in my face after a couple of hours playing in the snow we got really cold and had a
lovely hot choclate that Elis made.

After we had finished our hot chocalate we got the sledge out of Elis's shed and also a rubber ring and pumped the ring.

Then we went back outside and walked to Pancake hill. On the way there we threw snowballs at each other when we arrived I saw Connor and Harry and loads more people from Glade.

Then I got in the sledge and Christopher gave me a big boast and then I went flying down the slipery hill AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I was going to push Christopher but he was to scared so I pushed Elis down instead.

Wednesday 4Th February 09

On Monday and Tuesday school was closed because of the snow. Me and my brother went to Clayhall park and had a snow ball fight for 10 hours when I came back I was so drenched that I had to change 5 times when I came back I had a nice hot chocolate.

China Week

Last week was China week. Our class had lots fun doing activities. First we did some cutting to make some Chinese fish. We started on scrap paper first in case we made a mistake. We folded the piece of paper to make it symetrical. Mrs Severn (our teacher)drew a shape on the board we couldn't figure out what it was. But our teacher told us what it was, she said that we're going to use it during the week. Miss Graham took 4 or 5 children to make a flower pattern and we got to work. I was the first one to finsh the Chinese fish,Mrs Severn gave me three pieces of coloured paper. She said to do three more Chinese fishes so I did. The wall hangings looked fantastic. Come and see them in the exhibition on Tuesday after school.

School closed for snowy days!!!!

On Monday and Tuesday the school was closed for two days yippeee! Because it was snowing. Me and my sister went out into our garden and built a snowman. Then we had a snowball fight, after that we both made snow angels in the snow.

Later on I ran out into the front garden and lunged onto the floor I got coverd in snow, it all got in my wellies. I was very cold! Then after that we had dinner.

Later on at 4:00 we went to the forest and made another snowman and had a snowball fight. My sister thew a snowball right in my wellie and I had to walk around with it in my shoe for the rest of the time we were there. I found some snow that hadn't been touched and I dived in it.

Then we walked home I was freezing by the time we got home.

Then it didn't help that I couldn't get my wellie off I was in the porch for 15 minutes trying to get it off then I finally did.

SCHOOL CLOSED ,YES!!!!!

On Monday and Tuesday I was of school. Do you know why, IT WAS SNOWING!!! I woke up at 6.30 a.m. My sister, Pamela wanted to go to work, but eventually mum and dad said that she couldn't go. I was happy.

My sister's friend came and I threw a snowball at her I didn't mean to. AfterI went outside and went in the forest. It looked like Narnia....! Moments later with my sister and mum we made a snowman, it was cool. I had a wonderful time. BYE!!!!!!!!!

snow ball fights!!!!

On Monday 2nd February Lorik,my dad,my brother and i went outside and had a snow fight. Lorik and I were on teams,my dad and my brother were against us. Lorik threw a snowball at my brother and hit him on the face, it looks like that he was sweating, then he threw a snowball on Lorik's chest. All four of us starting throwing snowballs at each other.
When we came in we were all soaking wet, so my mum gave us a nice cup of hot chocolate.........,YUMMY!!!!! Lorik slurped the hot chocolate down his throat,it was HOT!,then we went back outside and made a snowman we worked altogether it was big.

School was closed for the snow(yeah)

On Monday the great 's day of my life. My family an d I w ere having a snow fight.It was extrmely fun ,well I didn't like it my bro was smaking me on the face.

After playing we built a snowman it was great fun,it had a carrot nose .Later we went to my cousins house we had soooo much fun!

No school on monday because of snow!!!!

I woke up at seven o'clock on the Monday to get ready for our trip to Sutton Hoo, but when I looked out the window it was snowing!!! I phoned the school and asked if there was school today, but they said, not today so do not come. I was really excited and woke everybody up from their lovely sleep, but when I woke my brother up, he snuggled up again!
we all had breakfast at nine o'clock, I had Coco pops, but the rest had butter and jam on toast.
I went to my room as soon as I had finished my cereal and got dressed properly and sensibly so if anybody threw a snow ball at me I won't be soaking wet!!!!!

At ten I went out to call my friends so we could have fun in the snow. We had a big snow ball fight and the winners were Daniel, William, Meliny and me!!(yeahhhhh!!!!) we continued for a long time but at ten we went in to have lunch.
After lunch i called my cousins to come over and have a snow ball fight and make a few snow mans/women. At 2 we were all outside making mummy snowman, a daddy snowman a toddler snowman and a house for them.(which didn't go well!!!)
At 5 i had to go to my club, but when i reached their by walking(because cars, buses,trains an coaches weren't aloud on the road)and when i reached they said it was cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

School was closed on Monday and Tuesday!!!!

On Monday morning we dressed ourselves warm and comfortable. Then we peeked through the window to see how the weather was. It was snowing,the garden was fully white. After we dashed outside on the deep snow. Next, we had a snowball fight,(YIPPEE!)it was totally fun. Then I purposely threw a bunch of snow on to my friend's face. We got fed up of throwing snow balls because our face got wet and we were NOT bothered to have another shower!!!! We suggested to make a snowman,bigger than us with our mothers help!!! After, we made the body of the snowman,we went inside and we had our lunch. Around 1230 we watched BBC news to see what the weather would be like tomorrow. We were hoping that the weather lady would say it was snowing,and guess what ,IT WAS,we were so happy that we ran outside and fell into the snow happily!!! Finally,we got tired so we went back inside and watched T.V.YESSSS!!!!!!!!!

school closed for snow choas!!!

On Monday and Tuesday the whole school was closed for 2 whole days, hooray!!! also the best thing was, It was snowing!!! hooray. Me and my family went ice skating it was so fun then when we got home we built a snowman!!! but unfortunately our snowman looked like a alien (but it looked OK to my dad he said it was a good effort.)



Then my cousin,Scarlett rang she said to meet her in the alley with my auntie Lesley that's a weird place to meet,don't you think? anyway me and my brother Louis gathered up allot of snow mine was about the size of an elephant.!



We peered round the alleyway corner and saw Scarlett with her ammo ready I think she was aiming for my head!. But she didn't know what was coming oh boy no she didn't then suddenly she saw me! she shouted "oi Phoebe come here and take it like a girl" I said back at her,"why don't you" then i showed her the snowball i made she gulped and said,"uh oh"then I chased after her I was getting ready for my shot at her then when I had the right aim I threw the big snowball at her but, instead of hitting her in the back i hit her in the bum I said in atsonishment "eeeeep"

I ran and ran she was chasing after me shouting my name "Phoebe,Phoebe" I replied"bye" then I ran off back to my house my mum said how was your snowball fight with Scarlett it was good I said." Did you get scarlett"? "yes i did" "where?" "in the bum!!!"

Glade closed because of snow

On Monday I went outside to play with my friends in the snow , I had a snow ball fight,it was a really tough one as in the end we all had snow on us. When we went indoors we were freezing cold so we played a game, soon later I went to have lunch it was delicious then we went out again. My friend and me started making a snowball when we started it was light but a few moments later it was 5 kilograms. We carryed on across a parking area though first,we had to make the ground cold as otherwise it would melt ,a while later the ball was 10 kilograms so we stopped.

Then we had a final snowball fight were we all got tired in as we were running so much,so I went home and had some egg fried rice, I had some cereal later then I went to sleep.

My fun day in the snow

On Tuesday I got the chance to go to Pancake hill at 4 o'clock ,even though my mum wasn't feeling very well, but my mum promised so she took me. I was so excited,but we didn't have a slay so we went on dustbin lids , we had to drive because it was to far to walk it took us about 10 minutes to get to Pancake hill because it wasn't really far.

We got out the car and started jumping in the snow ,we got out are dustbin lids and off we went we found the bigest hill in Pancack hill but there was no snow on the hill or ice so it was really muddy we tried to ride down it but it wouldn't work . We found another hill but it was a bit slipery for me to go down it, so we ceept climbing up the hill soon we found another hill I put my dustbin lid on the floor and slid down it. It was fantastic but I was hopping it to go faster so I slid down the slippery hill and that was superb. But then it was 5 oclock so we really had to go home we ran back to the entrance and drove back.

School closed for sparkly snow

Glade was closed for snow (YIPPY), hope no one came to school BRRRRRRR! , they would be freezing.

But I was having the fun of my life playing in snow.Firstly I made a huge snow man with my family,
next thing you know we needed a carrot. My brother suddenly, started a snow fight which, which was extremely fun, but hurting.

After heating up we went to my cousins house. And then we started to build a snow man , and then started another snow fight. But then my dad fell and got hurt so we went inside BOO-HOO.

It was the happiest sparkly snow day of my life.It was fun!

Last week we celebrated China week and my favourite thing was the Chinese cutting vase because you got to cut some paper and make a Pattern. The next day we had to write the zodiac race and then draw a picture about it. Then we all cut a paper and stuck it to a big circle to make a flower.

THE SNOW STORM!!!!!!!

On Monday 2nd of February me and my family went up to Pancake Hill. I was also very sad that the trip to Sutton Hoo was cancelled because of snow on the roads. On Pancake Hill there was a big snow hill so me and my brother got a sledge and flew rapidly down the hill. Later that day I went in my garden to have a snow ball fight with my brothers and a friend. After that it was late so we went to bed.

For the past two days (Monday and Tuesday) , school has been closed down for the snow. On Monday it was snowing constantly! me and my brother had a big snowball fight. My mum made me a hot lemon juice. It was nice! we went to help my neighbour finish his snowman. I then took a break and played on my PS3. I spent most of the time chatting to my friend Zohaib on the PS3. I played loads of playstation 3 games like ; Warhawk,CALL OF DUTY 5, Narnia:PrinceCaspian and spiderman web -of shadows.

On Tuesday, I built my snowman. I put some radish for the eyes and a carrot for the nose. I curved a stick and put it on the snowman`s face for a smile! I done some kickups with a football . I done 5 kickups with the ball. After I did some more. Instead, it went over to my neighbours garden and knocked out the snowman! I ran back inside and pretended it never happened!!LOL! and that was a thing I will never forget!!

school closure with snow activities

Dear Diary,
While the school was closed I had a super fun time. I played ghost detectives and I needed to defeat Sir Daniel, who was trying to take my powers. I tried to call the members but,unfortunately could not get signal. Using my powers I defeated him fair and square.

I made snowmen with my aunt and uncle. We put some hair on it as well as ears. My uncle and I had a snow ball fight and I won! My dad came from Pakistan and I got lots of clothes and games! Over all I liked the specially embroidered clothes my dad bought me.

Snow ball figh!!!!!! fun

On Monday 2nd of February it was snowing, School was cancel and sadly we missed our trip to Sutton Hoo. Michael and I had a snow ball fight and made a snowman also I was soaking wet it looked like I sweating. The road was slippery as a frozen ice cube and the park was full of snow and ice.

After we had a cup of hot chocolate tea..........YUMMY!!!!! When I tired it my tongue was burning hot,then we went outside.

School closed at last!

The school was closed on Monday and on Tuesday because it was snowing. So on Monday ,me and my brother made an enormous igloo(with a help from my dad of course!) It took us ages to finish the igloo. I forced my mum to come outside ,but she answered " NO I CAN NOT COME OUTSIDE , IT's FREEZING!" So all day she stayed in the hot filthy house ,while me, Kevin(my brother) and my dad had fun!



Next day my mum had to go to work cause she had an important meeting(she is always busy!)That`s why, me, my brother and my dad stayed at home. My dad also was busy correcting someone`s paper, so, me and kevin was told to be quiet, cause we are still children we made noise so we got in deep deep trouble. We were very bored that we had an lazy nap(just for an hour or two!) But I am very happy because I am back to school.

Glade closed because of snow

On Monday I played outside in the snow with my sister we made lots of things but my favourite was the snowman. My sister made a huge snowball and through it at me I was soaking wet I could not make a big snowball because it always breaks, we jumped into the grass and and waved our hands and legs to make snow angels and we tried to do different kinds of animals I made a rabbit and my sister made a monkey. My dad was not dressed for coming outside neither my mum so they missed out on all the fun.

Then when we came inside we watched a movie and my mum made me and my sister a cup of hot chocolate YUM!! after I went to sleep.

On Monday it was snow day, I did lots of exciting things with my family. First we woke up looking suprised to see the weather this month. When I looked outside it was packed with snow about 2ft tall. We naged our mum and dad to come out with us to do a snow ball fight!! Then we built a snowman we used a carrot for the nose and tomatoes for the eyes. Later on in the day we went to the shops and on the way we had a massive snowball fight it was so much fun and we hoped that the snow would never end!!!!!!!

In the morning i woke up and looked out my window and saw lots of snow and rushed outside in the snow. I built a 10ft tall snow man and when my cousins came we had a huge snowball fight and i was soooo wet and that was the bestest snowball fight ever. Next I went to my auntie's house and had another snowball fight and we built 5 more snow men and they we're also 10ft tall and the funest thing we done was falling in the slippery snow.

what i did on the 2 days off school horray!!!!!

During the 2 days off school when it was snowing I woke up looked out the window,suddenly I saw snow I got in the bath. Then I got on 4 layers of tops put on my Nike trousers. Then I knocked for some of my my friends so we went to the Redbridge sports centre field . We had a massive snow ball fight one hit me in the face then my brother,mum,dad and sister came out to join me . Then I sneaked up behind my brother and got a big bunch of snow and put it on my brother`s head. After we went to the shop I got loads of sugary sweets on the other hand my little brother Mason only got 2 sweets. We all went back to my house and played on the computer.

On Tuesday I woke up got in the bath and I got on my school clothes,went downstairs and had some breakfast my dad thought there was school but I knew there wasn`t any. so we set off to school. When we got there we saw loads of kids coming out of the school so we drove back home. Then I saw some children in the field I went outside and said do ya want to have a snow ball fight.Then I saw my friends walking towards me and we chucked snow balls at some teenagers and had a half wrestling match. Then I beat up around 12 snowmen.
